SMI Ergodic Oscillator
Oscillators, SMIO

- What it shows
The SMI Ergodic indicator shown as a histogram: the gap between the line and its signal.
- How it is built
It is the SMI Ergodic line minus its signal line.
Default: Long 20, short 5, signal 5.
- How traders read it
- Above zero: the line is above its signal.
- Zero crossings are the usual signals.
- Shows momentum speeding up or fading.
- History
Built on the ergodic indicators of William Blau, described in Momentum, Direction, and Divergence (1995).
