Moving Average Weighted
Trend, WMA

- What it shows
A moving average that counts recent bars more than old ones in a straight, step-by-step way.
- How it is built
The latest close gets the biggest weight, the one before it a little less, and so on down to 1 for the oldest bar in the window.
Default: Length 9, source close.
- How traders read it
- Turns sooner than a simple average of the same length.
- Price against the line and the slope are read as for any average.
- More false turns than slower averages in a choppy market.
